Claude
It opens Claude's "Add custom connector" form with HomeLinq filled in.
- Or by hand: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste https://app.homelinq.ai/mcp.
- Sign in with Google, using the email you were invited or added with. Then read HomeLinq's terms and accept them.
Claude's free plan allows one custom connector.
Claude Desktop: if sign-in stops with "Account mismatch", the browser it opened is signed into a different Claude account. Add the connector at claude.ai in a browser signed into the same Claude account as the app; connectors carry over to the app.
ChatGPT
- Plugins → Add → Add custom MCP server.
- Paste https://app.homelinq.ai/mcp.
- Sign in with Google.
- Read HomeLinq's terms and accept them.
- After HomeLinq updates, open the HomeLinq plugin's settings, press Refresh tools, and start a new chat.
Checked on ChatGPT Pro. Other plans are not tested yet.
Nothing works until you accept the terms.
Optional: send home facts to your review list without asking each time
You can add this line to your assistant's own instructions (its custom instructions or personal preferences). It is your choice and only applies once you add it yourself; HomeLinq never adds it for you:
If you added the earlier line, which saved straight to Home, replace it with this one yourself. HomeLinq cannot change your assistant's instructions, so until you do, your assistant keeps saving straight to Home. The review hold on the members page holds every Home save for your review either way.
Mine and Home
- Mine is yours alone. Other members never see it.
- Home is shared with everyone who is a member now.
Saving
- HomeLinq doesn't start saves. Your assistant saves a line when you ask it to.
- If you tell your assistant to save certain things without asking each time, that standing instruction counts as asking. Connecting HomeLinq alone does not.
- Every save goes to Mine, Home or your private review list. When the place is not clear, HomeLinq's save tool tells your assistant to ask "Mine or Home?".
- A correction is a new line; it does not remove the old one.
Your review list
- Your review list holds facts your assistant proposes until you decide. Only you see it; nothing in it reaches Home, or anyone else, until you approve it.
- On your review page you can approve each item to Home, move it to Mine, or discard it. Items you do not decide expire after 30 days.
- On the members page you can hold all your Home saves for review: each Home save from your assistant then waits in your review list. With the hold off, your assistant can still save straight to Home when you ask it to or tell it to, and HomeLinq cannot check which.
When you join
- You can see everything saved to Home, including lines saved before you joined.
- Every member gets an email saying you joined.
- Nothing in anyone's Mine is shared with you.
